On Thursday October 4th, Disney took the already spectacular "High School Musical" to the ice, as Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour opened at the Staples Center, taking the ice at 7:30PM.

The ice tour features all your favorite memorable songs, dance and team-spirited fun found in the original Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel movie, and its sequel "High School Musical 2," as well as some new crowd pleasing numbers. The Ice Tour’s producers Feld Entertainment and Kenny Ortega, in cooperation with Schumacher and his team at Disney Theatrical Productions have done an amazing job of bringing the details of this movie to the ice. The cast and costumes are dead on, and the numbers are choreographed so brilliantly to incorporate the incredibly unique props, that you often forget that the show is on ice- That is until the characters land some awe inspiring loops, jumps, flips and axels. The audience is drawn in and made an active part of the show, exciting the kids and impressing adults.
The cultural sensation "High School Musical" reaches a whole new level of "cool" with Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour. Performances at Long Beach Arena and Los Angeles Sports Arena are still to come and sure to be a great experience for everyone.
Tickets for the U.S. tour went on sale Monday, April 2nd, and the LA premier brought a packed house of children and adults, all undoubtedly enjoying themselves, singing and dancing along.
